Fleet World’s first Electric Vehicle Showcase, held in the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, attracted a wide range of fleet buyers from the public and private sectors.
Allied Electric took the opportunity to showcase their range of Peugeot electric vans, cars amd MPVs. On display inside the Motorcycle Museum was the Peugeot ePartner electric van, which attracted particular attention. This all electric vehicles offers dual charging, giving the electric van driver added flexibility by allowing them to use either a single phase or three phase charging point.
In addition to the Peugeot ePartner, Allied Electric also brought along their Peugeot eBipper and eExpert electric vehicles. The eBipper and eExpert were both available for test drive, allowing delegates to try out the vehicles themselves.
Alongside electric vans and cars from various manufacturers there were presentations given from key speakers to give delegates information on the advantages of buying electric vehicles. Speakers including representatives from the Energy Saving Trust and trade body BVRLA, the British Vehicle Rental and Leasing Association.
Allied Electric Fleet Sales Manager Colin McQueen commented: “It’s great to come along with our vehicles to an event like this where key buyers for fleets throughout the UK can see the vehicles up close.
“It’s also helpful that publications like Fleet World are helping to provide fleet managers with the information they need to move over to all electric. To fully realise the benefits of all electric vehicles we need to see many more of them being integrated into mainstream fleets”.
