Electric vehicle manufacturer Allied Electric has underlined its commitment to tackling climate change by supporting Trees4Scotland’s Teaghlach Wood project and becoming a Carbon Conscious Company.
Allied Electric, who supply a range of all electric, zero emission vehicles which aid reduction of local and global emissions, has joined forces with Trees4Scotland to help create a greener future. Trees4Scotland manage a number of woodland projects, aimed at creating sustainable forests that will encourage wildlife, help offset carbon emissions and can be enjoyed by future generations.
Allied is initially supporting the planting of 100 trees, including varieties such as oak, ash, birch, and willow, as part of Trees4Scotland’s Teaglach Wood Project. Situated in picturesque Perthshire, Allied plans to add a further tree for every electric vehicle sold.
Allied Electric’s Managing Director, Paul Nelson, said: “We are delighted to show our support for carbon reduction through natural woodland development. We’re proud to show our dedication to making positive changes to combat climate change and we look forward to tracking the progress of our trees for years to come.”
Angus Crabbie, founder of Trees4Scotland, commented: “The bottom line is that without the support of progressive businesses like Allied Electric, our woodland projects would not exist.”
