Allied Electric is part of the Allied Vehicles Group. Established in 1993, Allied now employs over 300 people and is the UK's leading specialist vehicle manufacturer, producing a wide range of accessible cars, MPVs and minibuses.

Allied is the largest supplier of wheelchair accessible vehicles to the UK-wide Motability Scheme and winner of the Motability Supplier Award. Through its taxi division, Cab Direct, Allied is also the leading supplier of modern-style hackney cabs to the taxi industry.

With an annual turnover of £55 million, Allied's 20-acre manufacturing plant, based in Glasgow, has recently been expanded with the addition of a new, 100,000 square feet assembly plant adjacent to the existing production facilities.
